Here is a story about stepping back in time. When the anniversary of JFK's assassination was upon us a few years ago, we got a call from a team that asked us to help commemorate it with something unique. We found out that Lee Harvey Oswald's cell was still in tack in an abandoned jail which was set to be dismantled a few months later. Somehow we got access to the property and photographed it empty and looking very eerie.
Then we took the text from the speech which JFK was supposed to make that day at the Trade Mart and had a cross section of people recite it from Oswald's cell directly into the camera. His words include:
"The United States is a peaceful nation. And where our strength and determination are clear, our words need merely to convey conviction, not belligerence. If we are strong, our strength will speak for itself. If we are weak, words will be of no help."
